More than words challenge - goodbye

Hi, It's been a while since I have published a blog post! I am entering the More than words July- Goodbye challenge, so here I am! This page is of my graduation from Uni (so it's very old) vintage you could say! And I guess I am saying goodbye to studying and Uni and also a life that was much simpler as I try and head out in to the workforce full time. I chose a purple colour for my monochromatic layout and even though the background dried a bit blue, I assure you it was indigo when wet! Lol

Made to scrap - October

This month at Made to Scrap we have a sketch challenge. I have used quite a few Aussie products on this layout including a tab from Charms creations, a flair from Funky Flair studio, flowers and stamp from Kaisercraft, felt embellies and resin arrows from Rainbow splendour and a beautiful flower wreath from Cut to You which finished it off nicely. (The stamping around the edges is actually straight but when I took the photo the page warped a bit!)

Made to scrap - September

Made to Scrap this month is a beautiful mood board (see below). I was also lucky enough to use a gorgeous flourish cut file from Cut to You from Gwen Designs. I originally made a background that I didn’t end up using, so I cut it up and put it behind the cut file. I think it looks quite effective! I have also used a Flutterby designs title, Cocoa Vanilla ephemera, Charms creations XO, and Burdy’s embellies button. Thanks for visiting!

A close up of the cut file.

The gorgeous mood board.

Funky flair - August

This is my latest share for Funky Flair studio. I have only used a cutout photo once before and I don’t think it worked as well as it has in this layout. I think it creates a sense of fun. The bike stamp and wood veneer tie in nicely with the cute bike flair, all on the mixed media background.

Kraft Plus - August

This month's challenge at Kraft Plus the challenge was to be inspired by terracotta.  I used some paint called 'raw sienna' to represent the terracotta colour and there is terracotta soil in the background of the photo.

Made to Scrap - August Sketch

This month for Made to Scrap we have a sketch for your page inspiration. Instead of using one large star, I used several down the side of the page. I love the effect of the washi tape on the border, it is sort of see through.  I also like how the orange colour of the paint I used on the background matches the orange in the photo. Thanks for dropping by!
