Kraft Plus February

For this challenge, I immediately thought of these photos of my daughter dancing at a friends party. At the time, she was fairly reserved and didn’t participate much at parties, so it was nice to see her getting involved. We were able to capture her twirling around and managed to get these great shots. So I thought they would be perfect for this ‘dancing queen’ page. I used the colours of her dress in my mixed media background and the quilling paper at the bottom of the page too.

Show us your stuff - January

I am very excited to share that I am on the Show us your Stuff (SUYS) Design Team for 2018. This is my layout for the January challenge.

I was drawn to bright colours and the black and white stripes and I wanted to include the quote in my layout also.  For my handmade item, I have used a Charms creation circle which I have turned into a lollipop by adding a toothpick.  🍭

Head over to the Show us your Stuff Facebook Page https://www.facebook.com/showusyourstuff/ to participate in the challenge!

A close up of the Charms circle.

And a close up of the quote.

Art Journal - Just Breathe

My very first art journal arrived in the mail yesterday and I couldn’t wait to get started! I didn’t really have an exact idea of the finished product, but I am really happy with how it turned out. I found the calico heart which I included on the left side and ‘Just Breathe’ is a reminder to take deep breaths.

Kraft Plus - January

Happy New Year Everyone! Feel like some coffee this morning? Kraft Plus are having a coffee inspired challenge this month. As I don’t drink coffee, I chose to use some photos of my daughter drinking a babycino. She thought she was so grown up drinking ‘a coffee’! ☕️

Some close ups of my layout.

D-lish scraps - December Inspiration Board

This is my take on the D-lish Scraps December Inspiration Mood Board. I am enjoying using my Dylusions paints for my backgrounds at the moment as it is easy to match colours with the layouts. This photo was taken at Wet ‘n’ Wild a couple of years ago and ironically it wasn’t in Summer, but the weather was warm enough to feel like Summer! 😁

Kraft Plus December

For the December Kraft Plus Challenge I chose this photo of my eldest when she was just three months old as it matched the colours in the photo for the inspiration for this month’s challenge. I took inspiration from the two rugs in the photo, the stripes in the first rug and the blue in the second rug.

Some exciting news!

I have some exciting news! From next year I will be joining the Kraft Plus Challenges Design Team. I would like to thank Sandra Wallace for the opportunity and the K+ team for welcoming me so warmly. I look forward to working with you all in 2018.
